About The Position

The Slot Technician II is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance. This role possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair and provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians. The Slot Technician II will also assume responsibilities of the Supervisor Slot Manager in their absence, help coordinate and lead slot floor moves and shift assignments, and coordinate Special Projects as assigned. This position ensures the overall smooth operation of all slot related equipment, keeps slot machines and associated parts in working order, and is able to perform specialty skilled roles as assigned (e.g., Electronic Technician, BV Technician, Parts Technician). The role safeguards all property assets in the slot department, follows all Internal and Virginia Lottery rules and laws, and must have the ability to interact with guests to enhance guest relations. A strong working knowledge of slot related machinery is required. The Slot Technician II is responsible for performing work regularly, predictably, and in a professional manner, including cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces. Other duties as assigned and adherence to all Virginia Lottery Regulations are also part of this role.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Good communications skills.
Basic computer skills.
Two (2) or more years’ experience in a Slot Technician capacity.
Minimum three-year experience electronic background.
Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia lottery.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must successfully pass drug screening.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
Knowledge of Team Leadership and motivational skills.
Knowledge of Electronics at the circuit board level.
Knowledge of Technical experience and training with slots.
Knowledge of Electronic and computer programming.
Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
