About The Position

Under the direction of the Slot Manager, the Slot Technician Supervisor oversees and coordinates the technical operations of the Slot Department. This position is responsible for supervising Slot Technicians, ensuring the operational integrity of all gaming devices and slot systems, maintaining regulatory compliance. Slot Technical Supervisor is responsible for maximizing gaming machine uptime, minimizing equipment failures, coordinating technical projects, and ensuring all gaming devices operate in accordance with Tribal, State, Federal, and Casino regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in advanced troubleshooting techniques is required.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in electrical and mechanical skill sets.
  • Must be able to speak and write in English for required communication.
  • Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Office applications, e-mail and Internet.
  • Must have experience using a slot accounting system to facilitate gaming machine projects.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members, Management and vendors.
  • Must be able to goal-oriented, able to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to exercise initiative, sound judgment, logic and problem solving skills
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts at different times of the day, as needed.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a gaming license from the Campo Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Technical Asset Management & Inventory Control: Demonstrated proficiency in tracking high value electronic components (such as monitors, touchscreens, GPU and bill validators), maintaining optimal spare parts inventory, and optimizing hardware lifecycles to reduce capital expenditures.
  • Advanced Diagnostic Infrastructure Knowledge: High Proficiency using specialized electronic diagnostic equipment, such as digital multimeters, logic probes, and oscilloscopes, to guide team members through component-level component failures.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a Slot Technician is preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Certification in Electronics or Networking is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a Ram Clear Procedures and able to identify required software for the operation.
  • Must demonstrate ability to convert games from different manufacturers and set up progressives.
  • Experience with slot accounting systems and gaming management software.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the departmental supervision and coordination of all Slot department technical operations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Lead Slot Technicians, and Slot Technicians.
  • Responsible for promoting a culture of compliance with regard to all regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge and compliance with all applicable gaming regulations as well as the Company's internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all gaming machines, operating systems, and slot accounting interfaces utilized by the Casino.
  • Carries out and leads technical teams on directives, objectives and communication of the department goals.
  • Responsible for the repair, overhaul, and proper preventative maintenance of all gaming machines to ensure optimal operation and maximize profitability, in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures and gaming regulations.
  • Oversee and actively assess project status and service needs to reduce downtime and maximize profitability.
  • Makes recommendations and suggestions to promote, evaluate, assign, and discipline all Slot Technicians on assigned shift in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Assists in implementing all slot machine and slot system related projects.
  • Coordinate project timelines with the Slot Manager, vendors, Information Technology, Facilities, Surveillance, and the Campo Tribal Gaming Commission as necessary.
  • Coordinates with Slot Director and Slot Manager on all floor changes planned.
  • Promotes positive customer relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Coordinates and assesses the training of new Slot Technicians.
  • Must work closely with vendors to plan resources and coordinate projects.
  • Must maintain a detailed knowledge of games offered at the casino.
  • Utilizes personnel and technical resources to analyze information, processes, methods, systems and procedures to determine the most useful business solutions for the enterprise.
  • Ensure compliance with all Tribal Gaming Ordinances, Internal Controls, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), manufacturer specifications, and all applicable Federal and State gaming regulations.
  • Ensure all gaming machine modifications, software changes, RAM clears, and installations are properly documented and approved.
  • Ensure vendors performing work within the Slot Department comply with all licensing requirements, approved procedures, and internal controls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
  • Directs and supervises Slot Technicians, Senior Slot Technicians and the Lead Slot Technician.
  • Oversee inventory control for slot parts, electronic components, tools, and technical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for high-value assets including: Monitors, Touchscreens, Bill Validators, Printers, Logic Boards, Power, Supplies, Graphic Processing Units (GPUs), and Other electronic components
  • Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
