About The Position

The Slot Shift Manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the slot floor during their assigned shift. This role involves developing and mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to casino procedures and regulations, managing daily operations including cash control and jackpot payouts, and fostering a positive work environment. The manager will also supervise Slot Supervisors, Slot Floor Workers, and Slot Technicians in the absence of the technical manager. Key aspects of the role include promoting exceptional guest service, resolving customer complaints, enforcing policies, and acting as a role model for the team.

Requirements

  • Educational level usually associated with the attainment of an Associates or bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
  • One to two years of work experience in a position that required supervision of staff and management or allocation of limited resources.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining consistent, high quality guest service levels.
  • Proven track record of maximizing revenues while controlling labor and other operating expenses.
  • Experience with and knowledge of applicable gaming regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Strong customer service orientation required.
  • Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Strong computer skills to include effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Knowledge of various electronic gaming and player tracking Management and support systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor FSA Tribal Members within the department.
  • Provide overall management supervision of the slot floor on the assigned shift.
  • Supervise Slot Supervisors and Slot Floor Workers.
  • Supervise Slot Technicians in the absence of the technical manager.
  • Ensure casino procedures and regulations are properly implemented and adhered to.
  • Manage ongoing daily operations, cash control, and jackpot payouts.
  • Interface with other departmental operations personnel.
  • Ensure all slot floor employees are trained in their job functions and understand their areas of responsibility.
  • Act as a role model for employees, fostering teamwork, morale, motivation, and open communication.
  • Promote outstanding guest relations and resolve customer complaints.
  • Monitor and enforce attendance policy.
  • Ensure slot floor employees comply with casino appearance standards.
  • Ensure slot floor employees understand and comply with the Eye-Hi-Goodbye Program.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
  • Monitor performance standards for slot floor workers regularly and ensure work procedures are followed.
  • Issue written and oral instructions, assign duties, and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.
  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Regular attendance is required.
