About The Position

In the absence of the Slot Manager, this role manages all aspects of slot floor operations, including the supervision of all slot team members. The position oversees all operations regarding jackpot verifications, payoffs, and ensures that the Slot department adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal gaming regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
  • Knowledge of slot operations and slot equipment.
  • Nevada Employee Gaming Registration required.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience within a hotel/gaming environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the department operations during the assigned shift to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays and special events.
  • Assist Slot Ambassadors with jackpots, replenish TITO in slot machines, and assist with machine malfunctions.
  • Greet and track both new and established Slot players. Enlist new players to the Nugget’s players club.
  • Assist the beverage department in providing complimentary drinks to all players, alerting the server to VIP players in the slot area.
  • Witness all major jackpot wins, sign jackpot slips, and complete hand pays.
  • Communicate with guests answering questions and resolving disputes.
  • Implement all casino procedures relating to slot operations and monitor areas for cleanliness.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
