Requirements

  • Comfort with physical, repetitive tasks and standing for 8 hours
  • Strong hand–eye coordination
  • Solid basic math and computer literacy
  • Ability to operate banding tools
  • Skill using a tape measure
  • Able to work with small parts
  • Understanding of quality policies and procedures
  • Ability to spot defects and escalate quality concerns
  • Read, comprehend, and follow detailed production instructions in English
  • Read and interpret bills of material and production orders
  • Differentiate part numbers and sizes accurately
  • Accurately count and label parts
  • Commitment to all safety policies and procedures
  • Strong safety awareness paired with efficient work habits
  • Clear oral and written communication; legible handwriting
  • 0–6 months prior experience
  • OSHA-required safety training
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Material handling in a production setting
  • Tape measure reading
  • Heavy material movement
  • Packaging best practices
  • Meets physical job requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

  • Mechanical aptitude helpful (not required)
  • Experience in slitting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Transport coils and components with a forklift and/or overhead crane to support production, finishing, packaging, and shipping
  • Keep work areas stocked; move completed skids to the warehouse or paint line
  • Stage materials according to the schedule to maximize machine uptime
  • Support line operations by clearing finished product and emptying scrap containers
  • Place materials into finished goods locations as required
  • Perform basic test line activities as assigned
  • Package and band finished goods for shipment per specifications
  • Maintain accurate order and tag tracking so everything matches up
  • Follow the bill of material to ensure the correct packaging, skids, and labeling
  • Complete finishing tasks when needed
  • Assist with setup, including valve setup and burn-off operations; build arbors to spec
  • Take on multiple duties to keep machines running safely and efficiently
  • Handle miscellaneous plant tasks that support safe, quality production
  • Pitch in with housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
