About The Position

MCC is seeking a Slitter Machine Operator to inspect printed label material, remove defects, splice the web, handle and palletize rolls, and record production information. Experience is not required, though it is a bonus. The role requires basic arithmetic and familiarity with simple Windows-based applications, along with the ability to meet the described physical and vision demands.

Requirements

• Experience is not required; it is a bonus.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to determine label counts and conversions.
• Ability to perform these operations using American money and units of weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet the stated vision requirements: close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously check print and seam quality.
• Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together according to specifications.
• Use a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing, and use tools at other times as necessary.
• Handle and palletize rolls to avoid damaging them.
• Understand basic printing and seam-related defects.
• Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system, Globetek.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
