Slitter Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

About The Position

Avery Dennison is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Printing & Slitting Machine Operator to operate thermal, inkjet, and turret slitter equipment to print, encode, slit, and finish custom labels, tags, and RFID products. The operator works with teammates, supervisors, and cross-functional teams such as Quality and Warehouse to ensure production runs meet customer specifications. The role is on the third shift, 11 PM to 7 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Good color vision.
Familiarity with measurement tools such as shop scales and overlay gauges.
Basic math skills, including decimals and percentages.
Basic PC proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, Word, or production management software.
Ability to stand up to 8 hours daily and lift or carry up to 50 lbs, including 30 lbs overhead.
Self-starter able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of related machine operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermal, inkjet, and Monarch printing systems, including Astro Nova and Muhlbauer PL Light equipment.
Perform equipment setups and changeovers, and make knife and tension adjustments on single- or dual-tooling turret slitters.
Interpret order specifications, perform quality checks, and manage station materials and inventory.
Load supply rolls, pack finished orders, create case labels, and stage completed products.
Collaborate with the team to solve problems, support safety, and identify continuous process improvements.
