About The Position

The Slim Jim Grind Operator works at the Troy, Ohio location and supports production operations, including operating the Hydraflaker and assisting in other cells as needed. The position requires tracking different blends, following blend instructions, completing daily paperwork, and entering documentation in SAP. Safety is the top responsibility, and the operator must follow GMP and USDA guidelines and support quality and continuous improvement activities. The role is performed in a cool environment of 40 to 50 degrees for 8 to 10 hours a day. Work involves frequent bending, lifting, and reaching, including repeatedly lifting frozen meat blocks to chest height and lifting up to 80 pounds. The shift starts at 3:00 PM and may have varying end times. Overtime and weekend work may be needed.

Requirements

Good math skills for tracking different blends.
Reading comprehension skills to follow blend instructions.
Ability to repeatedly lift 80 pounds.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and reaching.
Ability to work in a 40-to-50-degree environment for 8 to 10 hours a day.
Ability to obtain a walkie license.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Track different blends and follow blend instructions.
Operate the Hydraflaker, including continually lifting frozen meat blocks to chest height.
Assist in other cells as needed.
Prioritize safety and follow GMP and USDA guidelines.
Complete required daily paperwork in accordance with Quality guidelines.
Participate in developing, implementing, and sustaining (CSD) training documentation for team members.
Support CPS activities, including Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, CIL, Centerline, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team Participation, and CSD.
Complete SAP documentation.
Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor, Line Lead, or Cell Lead.
