About The Position

Join our Wireline Team as a Slickline Specialist. We are a leader in well construction and production, offering innovative physical and digital solutions to improve efficiency, production, and maximize reservoir value. Our team serves as the repair hub for global Wireline technologies, providing a high level of service for the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of our innovative equipment. As a Field Specialist - Offshore, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing complex slickline well intervention activities, performing advanced downhole operations, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring job success. You will also evaluate well data, lead operations in compliance with HS&E policies, conduct safety meetings, promote a Zero Incident Mindset, and ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and training to junior personnel, serve as the lead field representative, communicate with customers, and maintain strong customer relationships. You will also be responsible for ensuring slickline units, tools, and equipment are properly inspected and maintained, reporting equipment issues, completing accurate documentation, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 - 7+ years of slickline field experience in oil & gas well intervention
  • Proven experience executing complex slickline operations with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of well control, pressure control equipment, and downhole tools
  • Commitment to HS&E standards and safe work practices
  • Ability to lead field crews and communicate effectively with customers
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in field-based, rotational, or on-call environments

Responsibilities

  • Planning, leading, and executing complex slickline well intervention activities across a variety of well conditions.
  • Performing advanced downhole operations including tool conveyance, fishing, gauge runs, and mechanical manipulation.
  • Troubleshooting operational challenges and make real-time decisions to ensure job success.
  • Evaluating well data and conditions to determine the most effective slickline approach.
  • Leading all operations in strict compliance with Baker Hughes HS&E policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting pre-job safety meetings, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses.
  • Promoting a Zero Incident Mindset and stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Ensuring job execution meets Baker Hughes quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Providing technical leadership and on-the-job training to Slickline Levels 1–3 personnel.
  • Coaching crew members on safe work practices, operational efficiency, and technical skills.
  • Supporting competency development, assessments, and knowledge transfer.
  • Serving as the lead field representative for slickline operations.
  • Communicating job plans, operational risks, and outcomes clearly to customers.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through professional execution and problem resolution.
  • Participating in post-job reviews and recommend operational improvements
  • Ensuring slickline units, tools, and equipment are properly inspected, maintained, and job-ready.
  • Verifying equipment is operated within design and safety limits.
  • Reporting equipment issues and support failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Completing accurate job documentation, service reports, and operational records.
  • Capturing lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting operational performance metrics and service quality tracking.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Sharing best practices and technical insights across the slickline organization.
