SLI Pasting Offbearer - 1st shift

About The Position

The SLI Pasting Offbearer position is responsible for the successful transportation of pasted SLI plates from the pasting line machine to the appropriate storage racks. This position will assist in the equipment set-up and changeover process while ensuring the produced product meets specifications and quality characteristics.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience with safety and environmental training
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management
• Familiar with inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring tools

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

• Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions.
• Ability to identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
• Must support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
• Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required.
• Responsible for day-to-day housekeeping of the surrounding production floor area.
• Inspects produced product for adherence to quality characteristics.
• Performs light equipment maintenance or part replacement when necessary.
• Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical equipment for proper operation when necessary.
• Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
