The Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing work on the production floor during their shift and working collaboratively across departments. This role assigns tasks, clearly communicates expectations, and supports press operators to ensure work is done safely, correctly, and on schedule. They are the main point of contact on the floor and are expected to make day-to-day decisions, address issues as they arise, and keep production moving. The Shift Supervisor is expected to lead in accordance with Steinwall’s core values of Respect, Team, Safety, and Balance. Essential functions include Press Operator Support & Supervision, Production & Operations, and Communication & Coordination. This involves maintaining a strong floor presence, training press operators on procedures and standards, assigning and adjusting operator staffing, leading shift meetings, ensuring safe and efficient injection molding operations, planning and prioritizing work, monitoring shift performance, verifying adherence to production documentation, collaborating with other teams, communicating production status, ensuring effective shift handoffs, and completing all required daily documentation.
