About The Position
Pivotal Health is seeking motivated sleep professionals, specifically Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) or Respiratory Therapists looking to expand into sleep medicine, to join their growing team in Smithtown, NY. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
- Current New York PSG License and/or CRT/RRT License
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Required immunizations and health clearances
- Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills
- Candidates without an RPSGT credential must possess the required NY PSG and/or RT licensure.
Nice To Haves
- Current RPSGT Certification
- Previous sleep laboratory experience
- Experience with PAP therapy and overnight sleep studies
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
- Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures
- Apply electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to industry standards
- Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
- Monitor and evaluate patient physiological data throughout the night
- Perform PAP mask fittings and troubleshooting
- Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory, regulatory, and safety standards
- Deliver outstanding patient-focused care and support
