About The Position

Extreme Networks is seeking a high-energy Sales Account Manager to join their team. This role focuses on recognizing opportunities, turning leads into long-lasting partnerships, and driving digital transformation for customers. The Account Manager will communicate directly with customers and prospects, understand their needs, and recommend products or services that maximize value. This is a fast-paced position requiring prospecting, demand generation, and strong computer and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable, knowledgeable multitasker, organized, passionate about customer relations, and focused on enhancing the buyer experience while driving success within their assigned regions.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with high energy and drive who takes initiative and works with limited direction.
  • Knowledge of SFDC and Clari.
  • A highly trusted business partner, who maintains and expects high standards for self and team.
  • Relevant industry/competitive knowledge.
  • Able to travel each week to meet with Customers and Partners.
  • Proven hunter with a history of developing new prospective customers and collaborating across cross-functional internal teams, ensuring target quotas are achieved and exceeded.
  • Strong Business plan development and forecasting experience.
  • Strong Competitive Industry and Product Knowledge with ability to articulate the Extreme Networks Business Value Proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and developing new business relationships within existing customer base and prospects.
  • Utilizing Solutions Sales expertise to prospect and capture new business while growing the existing install base.
  • Understanding customer needs to provide effective solutions.
  • Attaining 100% or more of set sales quota each quarter and executing corporate initiatives.
  • Providing in-depth business planning and reporting (monthly forecast, weekly commit, pipeline development, etc.).
  • Developing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners within the territory and across the company focusing on SLED Accounts.
  • Speaking confidently about the comprehensive solution of end-to-end Wired/Wireless Data Networking, Network Management, and Security solutions, growing revenue and profit margins within the assigned territory and achieving aligned quotas.
  • Developing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with cross-functional teams within the territory and across the company focusing on SLED Accounts.
  • Understanding Erate funding and the Erate sales process.
  • Presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective buyers.
  • Staying current on company offerings and industry trends.
  • Making cold calls and reaching out to prospects and existing customers.
