The Sky Room Server is responsible for upholding the Fairmont Breakers values and mission statement while performing positional responsibilities. This role adheres to company policy and procedures, consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service, and provides the highest quality service to all guests at all times by instilling the company philosophy. The server will actively participate in the resolution of guest concerns, take orders, answer questions, and make recommendations for menu-listed products, utilizing appropriate upselling techniques. Responsibilities include clearing, cleaning, resetting, and maintaining restaurant tables during the shift, assisting other Servers in offering the highest level of service, and understanding the processes of delivery and removal of all product and equipment. The server will handle all guest checks according to Hotel policy, maintain pars and equipment as needed, and complete side work as assigned by the Manager. Engaging and genuinely interacting with guests while anticipating their needs, explaining food and beverage items in detail, and following all hotel standards, LQA standards, and Forbes 5 Stars standards while conducting self-audits are key aspects of this role. The server will also complete necessary opening and closing paperwork and side work duties, work well with others as a team, prepare food and beverage as per guidelines, and follow cash handling policies and procedures. Assistance may be required in other F&B areas and/or outlets as needed. The role requires a congenial appearance, well-groomed presentation, and polite assistance to guests. Regular and predictable attendance and following directions from the Manager are essential. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.
