About The Position
Wharton-Smith, Inc. has immediate openings for skilled trades positions in the Orlando, Winter Garden, Cocoa Beach, Debary, and Deland, Florida areas. Positions include Crane Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator, Laborer, Experienced Mechanical Pipe-layer, Carpenter, and Craft Foreman. The work involves building water and wastewater treatment plant projects. The company offers a competitive salary and field benefits.
Requirements
- Experience building water/wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Ability to shoot grades.
- Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of flanged and mechanical-joint (MJ) ductile iron pipe.
- Understanding of concrete forming systems, including Symons, Peri, Doka, Meva, EFCO, Alisply, and job-built systems.
- Communication skills to lead craftspeople in the listed tasks.
- Operators must have current certifications.
