The Maintenance and Operations Department is seeking (1) Skilled Trades Worker to join the already awesome team, taking the Building Maintenance Department to the next level of excellence!

Requirements

  • Technical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or a high school diploma or GED and one year experience in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area.
  • A valid Georgia driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC and heating.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or other related trades.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform strenuous manual tasks.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in HVAC, heating, and plumbing fields, such as jacks, meters, wrenches, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced-level duties assisting skilled trades workers in maintenance and renovation tasks, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building trades work.
  • Perform semi-skilled tasks (in various trades). Clean work areas, swept, collected trash, assisted in demolition activities, and moved supplies and equipment.
  • Perform minor operation, maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, heating equipment, and plumbing.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems assigned to HVAC and Heating.
  • Transport raw materials and semi-finished products or supplies between departments or buildings.
  • Perform minor welding repairs; operates power tools.
  • Perform light carpentry work, such as building bookshelves, bookcases, etc.
  • Mixes and pours concrete for foundations and fixtures.
  • Installs, repairs, and services motors, pumps, and fans.
  • Operates heavy machinery, such as forklifts, tractors, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
