About The Position

Worthington Industries is seeking Skilled Press Operators to set up and operate mechanical presses, inspect parts, and assemble products according to blueprints and manufacturing specifications. The position is available on second shift (2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) and third shift (10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.). Requirements

Ability to perform lockout and tagout.
Ability to perform quality checks using dial calipers.
Ability to maintain press operations.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Forklift license required.

Responsibilities

Monitor and measure parts coming off the press to ensure they meet required specifications.
Adjust and tighten hold-down bolts, die springs, and pins; adjust straightening rolls, guides, feeder-roll pressure, and feed length to maintain part quality.
Monitor press operation to ensure material feeds properly from the roll-feed equipment into the die.
Load coil material and thread it through roll-feed equipment.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance to care for the machine.
Maintain operation of the parts washer and lube tank.
Observe all safety rules.
Support team objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
