About The Position

Senior Metal Bellows is hiring a Press Operator to produce custom-engineered metal bellows components for industries including aerospace, defense, and energy. The role involves interpreting blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions; setting up and operating hydraulic and mechanical presses; working with specialized materials; inspecting parts; and recording labor transactions in company systems. Rubber-to-metal stamping experience is preferred but not required, and training is available. The company emphasizes collaboration, innovation, respect, trust, and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills for labor transactions and other required system functions.
Ability to work carefully and maintain accuracy when producing and inspecting components.

Prior experience in manufacturing or quality.
Experience with rubber-to-metal stamping; training is provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Produce high-quality components by following blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions.
Set up and operate hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 to 1,200 tons, following safe and precise operating practices.
Perform rubber-to-metal stamping.
Work with Inconel, AM350, and titanium strip stock ranging in thickness from .001 to .008 inches.
Perform press set-ups or request assistance with complex set-ups.
Conduct in-process inspections according to ES Specifications to verify dimensional and quality requirements.
Maintain set-ups, make minor adjustments, and escalate unusual issues to the supervisor.
Verify product quality using Statistical Process Control (SPC), quantitative charting, contour readers, and non-contact measuring systems.
Complete labor transactions and other required system functions accurately using basic computer skills.
