About The Position

Bruceville Terrace has been providing quality, compassionate care since 1989. Licensed as the 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing facility of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, Bruceville Terrace offers care for the elderly, as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Bruceville Terrace provides skilled nursing, rehabilitative and complex medical services to our patients and residents using an interdisciplinary team approach. Over half of the facility is dedicated to skilled nursing/convalescent care, while the remaining beds are committed to meet the medical and rehabilitative needs of the short-term patient after a stay at the acute care hospital. As our Skilled Nursing Supervisor (RN), you will help the healthcare team at Bruceville Terrace foster a supportive, collaborative environment so they can meet the needs of residents, families, and physicians while delivering high-quality nursing services in a cost-effective manner. Every day you will provide direction and leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and manage human resources for your direct reports (LVNs, CNAs, and Unit Assistants). You will be expected to develop innovative methods for performance improvement, ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations, and make decisions regarding patient placement and care requirements. To be successful in this role you must possess strong gerontological and skilled nursing practice knowledge and a proven ability to lead and mentor a nursing team.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of recent Skilled Nursing experience, with one (1) of the two (2) years in a progressive leadership role
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership.

  • Serve as a clinical resource.
  • Collaborate effectively with key physicians, nursing, therapy and other ancillary services to manage the care of the patient in the most cost-effective and quality driven manner.
  • Participate effectively in CQI projects.
