About The Position
Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites, commercial/industrial project sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials.
Requirements
- Ability to meet physical requirements of job i.e. long periods of standing, walking, bending, exposure to weather.
- Ability to take instruction from supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
- Clean and prepare sites.
- Dig trenches.
- Set braces.
- Erect scaffolding.
- Clean up rubble and debris.
- Remove waste materials.
- Break stud ferrules.
- Pick up dropped temporary safety.
- String out welding leads.
- Fetch welding rod.
- Fire watch.
- Fill water jugs.
- Clean site trailers.
- Organize gang boxes.
- Attach temp safety.
- Tape up welding lead cuts.
- Pick up bone yard dunnage.
- General go-fer.
- Maintain danger tape.
- Sort bolts.
- Assist other craft workers.
