About The Position

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Skilled Laborer to join their team in Golden Meadow, LA. This role involves interpreting blueprints, measuring, cutting, and installing various materials, and assembling structures. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other trades, adhere to safety regulations, and maintain a clean work area. This position is with a company that provides highway, port, airfield, rail, and marine construction services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in heavy civil construction or a related field.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install various materials.
Familiarity with safety procedures and the ability to work safely at all times.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and select appropriate materials.
Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall.
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, and trim.
Assemble and fasten material together to construct forms for pouring concrete, stairs, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Work collaboratively with other trades and team members on the job site.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
