About The Position

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors (CMAC) is seeking a Skilled Laborer for its Northern Virginia region. This is a full-time position with opportunities to build your career. CMAC is looking for individuals who want to shape the world and live to build.

Requirements

One (1) or more years of experience in commercial construction.
Must understand safety rules and tool/equipment instructions.
Have the ability to take measurements and make calculations.
Have good communication skills both orally and in writing.
Must pass any skills tests as required by the jobsite.
Ability to problem solve when errors occur.
Keep tools and workspace organized.
Must be conscious of time schedules and deadlines.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Must be able to tolerate heights without fear.
Must have own hand tools.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Uses required tools to complete assigned tasks on the job site.
Follows instructions from supervisors and implements construction plans.
Assists other trades workers on the job site.
Builds and takes down scaffolding or temporary structures, as required.
Maintains jobsite cleanliness, removing any safety hazards and following material disposal protocol.
Assists with loading and unloading materials and equipment, distributing them to the appropriate locations as directed.
Directs traffic during roadway construction, as required.
Assists with maintenance of construction tools or equipment.
Keeps immediate working area clean.
Must use broom and wheelbarrows and follow material procedures.
Identifies and reports safety hazards.
Takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
