About The Position

The Blender Deck Operator cools cottage cheese curd and blends it with CO2, cheese dressing, fruit, and flavors according to plant SOPs and formulation. The role involves preparing, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment and circuits used in blending, coordinating with Cheese Room Operators and Filler Operators, and maintaining documented information to meet SQF requirements. The operator must keep work areas clean, follow GMP and SQF requirements and safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and remain until the job is completed or they are relieved. Other assignments may be given by the Foreman or Supervisor. This description is not all-inclusive and is subject to change. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The position is covered by Teamsters Local 294 Union. Pay is $28.09 per hour, plus a $0.60 night-shift differential; exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Requirements

Ability to perform teardown, setup, hand washing, CIP, and sanitizing of equipment and circuits associated with blending.
General knowledge of the cheese room.
Ability to follow plant SOPs, formulation, safety procedures, GMP, and SQF requirements.

Responsibilities

Cool cottage cheese curd and blend it with CO2, cheese dressing, fruit, and flavors according to plant SOPs and formulation.
Tear down, set up, hand wash, CIP, and sanitize equipment and circuits associated with the blending operation.
Work with Cheese Room Operators and Filler Operators to support an efficient operation.
Maintain documented information in accordance with SQF requirements.
Keep work areas neat and clean to meet GMP and SQF requirements.
Follow safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and avoid putting oneself or other employees in harm’s way.
Stay until the job is completed or relieved.
Perform other assignments given by the Foreman or Supervisor in charge.
