About The Position

The Panela Processing Associate LV2 supports the manufacturing of panela, a traditional unrefined whole cane sugar product. The role operates and monitors processing equipment, helps maintain product quality, and follows safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. The associate works with team members to monitor production flow, address equipment issues, and contribute to process improvements. Attention to detail and consistency help meet production targets and company and customer quality expectations.

This position is scheduled for the third shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or food-processing environment, preferably with sugar or similar products.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate processing machinery.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and hygiene practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in panela or sugar processing operations.
• Familiarity with quality-control procedures and food-safety certifications such as HACCP.
• Basic troubleshooting and minor repair skills for processing equipment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Proficiency with production-tracking software or digital record-keeping tools.
• Communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor panela processing machinery to support continuous, efficient production.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance to prevent downtime and support safety compliance.
• Follow quality-control protocols, including sampling and testing panela at various production stages.
• Maintain accurate production records and promptly report deviations or issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and implement process improvements.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations throughout production.
• Assist in training new associates on operational procedures and safety standards.
