About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Skilled Electrician to join our team Fibrebond team in Minden, LA! This role involves working an average of 54 hours per week, including overtime, typically between 6 am - 4:30 pm, with overtime every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $20.90-$28.00 per hour. Relocation assistance is available for candidates living more than 50 miles from the Minden, LA site. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years electrical experience.
  • Experience bending conduit.
  • Experience reading blueprints and using hand and power tools.
  • Basic shop math skills and the ability to read and use a tape measure.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
  • Must possess a strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
  • Ability to wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, and steel toes boots with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs., work from a ladder including ascending and descending, stand for long periods of time, bend, crouch, use manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate objects with precise small movements with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively read blueprints to accurately install all required electrical components.
  • Bend and install complex conduit configurations.
  • Pull and terminate wire and large power cable.
  • Troubleshoot all electrical problems.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Install both standard and more complex conduit and electrical components.
  • Read blueprints to determine consistent placement of all components.
  • Lead crews.
  • Pull wire and/or cable for smaller gauge electrical circuits, low voltage alarms and signals, high-power large-gauge circuits through conduit and wireway.
  • Anchor and secure all equipment.
  • Ensure proper grounding.
  • Properly buss and torque gear.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems.
