About The Position

K&R Staffing HR Consulting is seeking dependable and experienced Skilled Construction Laborers for a growing company specializing in new residential construction. The role involves hands-on work in framing, flooring installation, carpentry, and other skilled construction trades. Candidates should take pride in quality workmanship, work well with a team, and be able to keep up in a fast-paced construction environment. Work is based at job sites in Mobile, Daphne, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, and Loxley.

Requirements

Previous hands-on construction experience.
Experience in at least one of the following areas: framing, flooring, carpentry, or residential construction.
Ability to use common hand tools and power tools.
Basic knowledge of construction measurements and building materials.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Reliable transportation to job sites.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on new residential builds.
Experience installing flooring, framing walls, or performing finish carpentry.
Ability to read blueprints or construction drawings.
Experience working with a residential construction crew.

Responsibilities

Assist with framing, flooring installation, carpentry, and general construction tasks.
Measure, cut, and install building materials accurately.
Read and follow measurements, instructions, and basic construction plans.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Assist with building and assembling structures for new residential construction.
Perform demolition, material handling, and job site preparation as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work alongside construction crews to complete projects on schedule.
Follow all workplace safety procedures.
