Skilled Concrete Finisher (GPC)
About The Position
Great Place Construction (GPC) is looking for a SKILLED CONCRETE FINISHER for FULL-TIME YEAR-ROUND POSITIONS. We are a private construction firm that specializes in commercial design/build projects. We need reliable, skilled commercial construction tradesmen to join our team! If you are hardworking with any number of commercial construction skill sets we want you! ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES – you are coming in on the ground floor, work for us and move up as we grow. We are looking to hire team members that may have experience with any of this type of work. You don’t have to have it all – we will train for you.
Requirements
- Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowels
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis.
- May have to push/pull up to 100lbs on an infrequent basis
- Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing
- Valid DL and good driving record
- Knowledge of various tools associated with duties noted above
Nice To Haves
- Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desired
Responsibilities
- Prepare/place/finish concrete
- Construct, place and strip formwork
- Install reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documents
- Place/strike concrete with mechanical equipment
- Finish/edge/cut placed concrete
- Clean up and properly maintain tools associated with this work
- Work with field supervision to coordinate entire concrete installation process
