Requirements

Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher with city and flatwork experience
Knowledge of hand tools and floats
A working knowledge of methods, techniques and equipment required to finish flatwork in a variety of finishes
Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to plan and work efficiently and effectively to maximize progress while maintaining safety standards and project specifications
Must be legal to work in the US.
Willing to work overtime, as required.
Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirements
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset but not required

Responsibilities

Spread, level, and smooth freshly poured concrete using hand and power tools.
Finish concrete surfaces including slabs, foundations, walls, curbs, sidewalks, pads, stairs, and structural elements.
Operate power trowels, vibrators, screeds, and finishing equipment.
Check concrete for proper depth, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
Perform edging, jointing, grooving, broom finishes, hard trowel finishes, and specialty finishes as required.
Set and verify grades, elevations, and slopes to ensure proper drainage and structural requirements.
Apply curing compounds, concrete sealers, and protective coatings as specified.
Patch, repair, and restore concrete surfaces as needed.
Work with formwork crews and laborers during concrete placement operations.
Monitor weather conditions and implement measures to protect fresh concrete.
Strip, clean, and maintain finishing tools and equipment.
Identify and report quality concerns, defects, or safety hazards.
Follow all company safety policies, site procedures, and regulatory requirements.
