About The Position

Care to Stay Home is seeking experienced CNAs and advanced caregivers for clients in the North Idaho & Spokane area who require a higher level of care. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful, one-on-one relationships with clients, focusing on individualized care rather than the constant rush of caring for multiple residents. We prioritize building long-term assignments to foster consistent client relationships and provide quality hours through meaningful assignments. Experienced caregivers will have opportunities for greater responsibility, advanced training, mentorship, and potential future leadership pathways.

Requirements

  • Current CNA/NAC or HCA credential.
  • Strong hands-on caregiving experience.
  • Comfort working with clients who have higher levels of care.
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions within the plan of care.
  • Ability to notice changes and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Confidence with transfers and mobility assistance.
  • Serious about documentation.
  • Professional communication with clients, families, and coworkers.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Understanding that excellent care means being skilled, compassionate, prepared, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with transfers, mobility assistance, personal care, bedbound care, range-of-motion exercises, fall prevention, and complex daily care needs.
  • Desire for consistency and long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Providing hands-on care for clients with higher levels of care needs.
  • Assisting with safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility.
  • Utilizing gait belts, wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment.
  • Providing care for bedbound and limited-mobility clients.
  • Assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, and complete personal care.
  • Implementing range-of-motion and prescribed exercise routines.
  • Focusing on fall prevention and home safety.
  • Assisting with nutrition, hydration, and meal preparation.
  • Providing medication reminders.
  • Recognizing and reporting changes in client condition.
  • Performing accurate care documentation.
  • Communicating effectively with families and the care team.
  • Maintaining client dignity and independence during hands-on care.
