Requirements

  • Current CNA/NAC or HCA credential.
  • Strong hands-on caregiving experience.
  • Comfort working with clients who have higher levels of care.
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions within the plan of care.
  • Ability to notice changes and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Confidence with transfers and mobility assistance.
  • Seriousness about documentation.
  • Professional communication with clients, families, and coworkers.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
  • Understanding that excellent care means being skilled, compassionate, prepared, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with clients who have dementia or Alzheimer's.

Responsibilities

  • Providing hands-on care for clients with higher levels of care needs.
  • Assisting with safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility.
  • Using gait belts, wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment.
  • Providing bedbound and limited-mobility care.
  • Assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, and complete personal care.
  • Performing range-of-motion and prescribed exercise routines.
  • Implementing fall prevention and home safety measures.
  • Assisting with nutrition, hydration, and meal preparation.
  • Providing medication reminders.
  • Recognizing and reporting changes in client condition.
  • Completing accurate care documentation.
  • Communicating with families and the care team.
  • Maintaining client dignity and independence during hands-on care.
  • Working independently and making good decisions within the plan of care.
  • Communicating concerns promptly.
