Skilled Carpenter - Facilities
About The Position
Plant Services Carpenter performs general carpentry assignments such as, but not limited to: repair/replacement of doors and walls, installation of ceilings and replacement of tiles, fire caulking penetrations, railing repairs, flooring projects, install/replacement of stair treads, window repairs, locksmith services, installation of LKM & CDX locking devices, installation of shelving, repair/replacement of bathroom partitions, hanging of Christmas wreaths, pictures, banners, white boards, bulleting/cork boards, AED medical heart devices, signs, cutting of tree limbs with a chain saw, demolition and renovation projects, working with sketches and drawings and carpentry related preps for Christening ceremonies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 2 years of related technical experience
- 5+ years of carpentry experience
- Being a self-starter and capable of working alone with minimal supervision
- Trustworthy and complying with EB core values
- Strong Safety performance.
- Strong absenteeism performance.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong cooperation skills and being a team player
- Experience in operating power shop tools to include; table saws, drill press, jointer, planner, radial alarm saw, etc.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blue print drawings.
- Knowledge of Carpentry and related building codes.
- Knowledge of flooring project installations’.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of commercial construction experience
- JLG qualifications
- Locksmith service knowledge.
