Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Understand org structure, key personnel, IT team mission, and compliance baseline; complete all custom Udemy new-hire training videos covering the full environment overview, alert types, vulnerability basics, and Identrust certificate setup
  • Navigate core IT tools confidently; understand the full ticketing lifecycle; complete ServiceNow CSA foundational coursework; perform first hands-on tasks using RDP and the Azure Portal; begin laptop imaging familiarization
  • Understand M365 security stack; configure basic policies; trace mail flow
  • Understand Defender ATP alerts; triage security incidents; review Cloud App Security policies
  • Understand SIEM concepts; write basic KQL queries; review Sentinel workbooks
  • Deploy configurations via Intune; understand patching lifecycle; update laptop images
  • Manage Entra accounts; understand OU/Group Policy/DNS; apply least-privilege principle
  • Respond to EDR alerts; follow IR playbook steps; escalate appropriately
  • Understand device lifecycle; run and interpret a vulnerability scan; prioritize findings
  • Handle tier-1/2 tickets effectively; use Remote Assist or Teams for remote support; document procedures
  • Build a simple automation; generate security/IT reports; maintain asset inventory
  • Demonstrate skills gained; present recommendations; complete transition documentation
