About The Position

The Cyber Security Analyst will be a hands‑on contributor supporting the setup and maturation of a 24/7 SOC. This role goes beyond passive monitoring or report review and is focused on actively improving cyber defense capabilities, controls, and processes. You will monitor, manage, and investigate security alerts, while also helping establish standard operating procedures and best practices to reduce organizational risk. The organization is standing up a 24/7 SOC and is seeking a higher‑level skill set capable of shaping how security operations are run. The goal is to create consistent cyber controls, repeatable standards, and strong defensive practices that meaningfully reduce the likelihood of a security breach. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to help build, improve, and own parts of a security program—not just observe it.

Requirements

Experience with the following tools or comparable technologies:
SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel preferred)
Configuration, tuning, monitoring, and alert investigation
Vulnerability management tools
Nessus Vulnerability Suite or similar
Endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR)
Microsoft Defender XDR or equivalent

Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts from Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
Investigate and triage potential threats and security incidents
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of security best practices
Help establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Support vulnerability identification and remediation efforts
Partner with internal teams to strengthen cyber controls and improve overall security posture
