About The Position

Pacific Coast Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, attentive, and dependable Sitter to provide one-on-one observation and companionship to residents who need additional supervision and assistance to maintain their safety and well-being. The role is full-time on a consistent PM shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, in Salinas, California, at a pay rate of $16.90 per hour. The Sitter helps create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment while maintaining residents’ dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive one-on-one observation and supervision of assigned residents.
• Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
• Monitor resident behavior and report changes or concerns to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in appropriate conversation and activities.
• Assist residents with basic needs as directed by nursing staff and within the scope of the position.
• Follow care instructions and facility safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff about resident needs and observations.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Document observations and complete required reports as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
