About The Position

Riggs Cat is hiring a Construction Technologies Sales Representative to sell the full portfolio of Caterpillar and Trimble technology hardware and software. Products include machine control systems, site positioning systems, Cat Detect, Cat Command/Autonomy, and software and cloud systems such as ProductLink, VisionLink, WorksManager, and Works O/S. This is a safety-sensitive, non-exempt hourly position with travel up to 10%.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience with construction-related products such as machine control, paving, and software involving Trimble, Caterpillar, or competing equipment and software.
Understanding of revenue, profit, time, and expense management.
Intermediate MS Office experience.
Client relationship management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate sales and rental activities in the assigned territory to achieve the annual business plan.
Continually train to develop in-depth knowledge of product lines, service and support capabilities, and marketing programs and objectives relating to Caterpillar, Trimble, and other represented technologies.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
Maintain ongoing contact with clients after a sale or rental, using Riggs Construction Technologies support when technical problems or repair and maintenance activities arise.
Ensure personal conduct reflects favorably on Riggs Cat and Riggs Technologies Group, and conduct business honestly and ethically.
Assist Cat and non-Cat salespeople with sales calls.
Provide information to the Director of Construction Technologies to help create sales programs in-house or through Caterpillar or Trimble.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and track lost sales to improve market understanding and support accurate inventory strategies.
