Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer skills which include a working knowledge of keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
  • Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing.
  • The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive teaching experience in early childhood education or a related discipline, preferred.
  • Experience teaching or training adults, preferred.
  • Prior front-desk, clerical, or administrative support experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead the onboarding of new preschool team members.
  • Train new team members during the onboarding period to attain basic competency.
  • Meet with new team members for orientation, building layout review, introductions, and to establish job expectations.
  • Provide and model classroom management aligning with company policies and procedures.
  • Model, coach, and train preschool team members in classroom activities and company structures and routines.
  • Prepare and implement all materials needed for new preschool team members' skill acquisition of classroom performance.
  • Train preschool team members in Support Plans, classroom management techniques, teaching techniques, and use of modifications for effective classroom and behavioral management.
  • Work to effectively train preschool team members for success and independence in the classroom.
  • Model the implementation of individualized classroom treatment plans.
  • Assist and coach new preschool team members on completing daily documentation, goal documentation, and/or report writing.
  • Ensure implementation, modification, and completion of daily curriculum by new preschool team members.
  • Step into the role of classroom teacher when needed and completes all tasks for that role.
  • Participate in the completion of classroom billing.
  • Provide front desk coverage as needed.
  • Greet children and families as they arrive and directs them to appropriate areas.
  • Check in children, family, and visitors via software and communicates with appropriate leadership.
  • Receive phone calls for therapy and preschool operations, answer questions, provide support, or transfer calls.
  • Understand internal processes required for a student and patient to receive services.
  • Assure payment is received per funding source, and processes all items appropriately for preschool and therapy.
  • Process paperwork between site and central administrative team.
  • Manage outgoing and incoming mail, scanning and distributing appropriately.
  • Update scheduling software throughout the day and communicates cancellations to appropriate personnel.
  • Contact parents/guardians regarding preschool absentees, wait lists, and other pertinent information.
  • Make needed corrections and updates in software systems.
  • Prepare needed materials for onboarding of newly enrolled children.
  • Make badges for new employees and students.
  • Update mailbox labels, posted classroom rosters, and classroom schedule.
  • Order supplies for site and stocks supplies.
  • Provide assistance in kitchen for food prep, plating and delivery of food when needed.
  • Assist with special events as directed by leadership.
  • Assist with transportation documentation when needed.
  • Collect, scan, and save all classroom rosters, diaper charts, and attendance.
  • Assist with drop-off and pick-up of students daily as needed.
  • Complete building set up and daily grounds inspection, including playground environment, to ensure safety and welfare of all children.
  • Ensure all closing duties are complete at the end of each day.
  • Communicate with team members and outside providers with clarity and in a professional and timely manner.
  • Promote a friendly atmosphere for families, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure all after-care computers are logged in and active prior to after-care.
  • Ensure completion of the beginning and ending headcount in all after-care.
  • Oversee after-care employee staffing to ensure it is adequate and meets required ratios.
  • Ensure all after-care staff follow all applicable policies.
  • Communicate any needs or concerns with leader.
  • Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.
  • Respond positively to feedback concerning job performance.
  • Serve as a role model for all team members in work ethic, company policy/procedure, fidelity of practices, and company core values.
  • Display and exhibit ability to work on a team and communicate.
  • Uphold and incorporate the core values, mission, and philosophy of the company into all job functions.
  • May perform other related and non-related duties, as assigned.
