About The Position

The Site Supervisor - Physical Therapist role at Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH), in partnership with Hartford HealthCare, is responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective physical therapy services within an outpatient setting. This integrated model provides direct access to orthopedic surgeons and a team-centered approach to patient care. The position involves approximately 80% direct patient care and 20% administrative time, focusing on managing site resources (human, material, and financial) to ensure optimal patient outcomes and compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of CT
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years in the field
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as electronic health records and other software applications
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal direction
  • Teamwork and mentoring skills
  • History of strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years in an outpatient setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Director, establishes, develops, and maintains effective relationships, working agreements, and quality partnerships to secure resources that support patient care and ensure compliance with current standards relevant to the patient population.
  • Assesses staff performance of expectations and coaches, mentors, develops, and evaluates employees to achieve behaviors congruent with the organization's vision, mission, and values in a continuous learning environment.
  • Acts quickly to resolve customer, patient, or client problems or complaints using judgment and organizational policies.
  • Works effectively as a team leader with on-site staff and customers to provide quality service through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
  • Demonstrates characteristics and independent thinking that reflect a commitment to exceptional customer services and the achievement of overall company strategic goals.
  • Responsible for maintaining site compliance with setting policies and procedures, and remaining within standards set by accrediting bodies such as Joint Commission and DPH.
