Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Superintendent to join our Federal Team in support of the design, construction, and successful implementation of a multimillion-dollar large-scale power generation project in Concord, California.

Requirements

High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in construction with at least five (5) years of experience in commercial or government construction industry as a site superintendent or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
MEP experience with increasing levels of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
Knowledge and experience with performing Quality Control management
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience using Procore or similar project management software.
Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, building systems, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
Ability to review confidential US security information.
Current First Aid/CPR certification.
OSHA 30-hour Certification.
Certification in, or familiarity with, EM-385-1-1.

Nice To Haves

QC/QA USACE or NAVFAC Certifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite technical supervision of the subcontractor workforce and to control and direct all field and construction management activities.
Support the lead Project Manager with planning and organizing project work, including management of the critical path and all critical path activities, to assure all work is executed in accordance with the contract documents, including the submittal schedule, material deliveries, schedule updates, work progress/productivity and associated changes.
Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of contracted work.
Develop a plan for sequence of work and project schedule with the lead Project Manager and scheduling team.
Support the Project Manager in the development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities.
Provide ongoing project status updates to all stakeholders as required throughout design and construction.
Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration.
Develop comprehensive understanding of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
Ensure compliance with company safety, industry, trade, and federal/local jurisdictional standards, practices, codes.
Perform other duties as required.
