About The Position

The Site Services Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for supervising the site maintenance team in the delivery of general maintenance and repair services across Northern Star Pogo operations and satellite locations. Requirements

  • Two years of college coursework in a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance experience.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Current Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass a background check and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Site Services personnel to ensure the effective repair and maintenance of work areas so that business targets and goals are achieved to maximum effect.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted to achieve lowest production cost.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Allocate daily tasks to crew members.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors to ensure camp, and site facilities are maintained and optimized for effective utilization of key resources and assets.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for surface infrastructure including the camp, site and other operational areas. Duties may include painting, carpentry, plumbing and mechanical work, where qualified.
  • Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, water supply, and sewage systems.
  • Conduct routine checks on essential site equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Perform seasonal upkeep: snow removal in winter and greenery maintenance in summer, including walkways, access routes, and areas around key structures.
  • Assist with installation and relocation of site facilities or temporary structures.
  • Carry out minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting (where certified).
  • Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for maintenance tasks.
  • Perform a high standard of work, with all work completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance and operational team members.
  • Ensure workmanship through meeting standards, tolerances and testing of equipment.
  • Ensure effective communication and handover between crews with regard to plans and issues.
  • Coordinate all unplanned work that arises over the course of the week.
  • Develop and coach all direct reports to promote employee development.
  • Manage performance and productivity of the team.
  • Complete formal annual employee performance reviews for all direct reports.
  • Provide on-call support overnight on occasion.
  • Ensure all safety related activities are undertaken in accordance with Company policy and MSHA requirements including Hazard IDs, pre-start checks, pre-start meetings, and incident Reporting.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
