Requirements
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification required
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
- Demonstrated background supporting steel erection projects
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide daily safety oversight for all steel erection activities
- Conduct routine equipment and work area inspections to identify and correct hazards
- Lead toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practices with field personnel
- Maintain an active field presence and build strong relationships with crews and supervision
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
- Observe work activities, coach employees on safe behaviors, and address at-risk conditions immediately
- Help drive a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and accountability
