About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Second Shift Safety Coordinator. This role will provide safety support and information to the employees at the site. This role will also identify safety training needs and coordinate safety training programs, while monitoring, developing and reviewing safety goals for the site. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• 2+ years warehouse experience

Responsibilities

• Update the safety board on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Print and post Pre-Shift Notes weekly.
• Post BLS data and safety recap weekly.
• Track and report all safety numbers with relevance to the weekly safety call report.
• Facilitate monthly audits on fire extinguishers and facility inspections.
• Send the daily “Days Safe” email.
• Lead the safety committee – ensure minutes are recorded and posted.
• Track and reward safety winners.
• Collect the hearing conversation logs weekly and file.
• Ensure all safety posters are updated around the facility.
• Conduct training for new associates.
• Maintain legible and accurate records or logs.
• Review documents prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor if they cannot be self-corrected.
• Communicate work practices, procedures, and methods to associates.
