We are seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment across multiple active construction projects. The Site Safety Coordinator will work closely with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, and executive leadership to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. This position requires regular travel to project sites throughout the DMV area and is ideal for a safety professional who is proactive, organized, and passionate about protecting people.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial mechanical construction.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites throughout the DMV region.

Nice To Haves

  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce VMG's safety policies and procedures on active construction sites.
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending preventative measures.
  • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to field employees.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, incident reports, training records, and regulatory compliance records.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Assist with emergency response planning and support jobsite safety initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking employees to reinforce safety expectations and training.
