About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Coordinator to provide full-time, on-site safety support for a long-term electrical construction project in Doraville, Georgia. The selected candidate will support an electrical contractor working under a major general contractor in the Atlanta area. This role requires a strong field presence and a thorough understanding of electrical construction hazards, OSHA requirements, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and safe work practices. The Site Safety Coordinator will work closely with project leadership, field supervisors, subcontractors, and electrical trades to ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with site-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, confident in the field, and capable of addressing unsafe conditions before they result in incidents.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
  • Previous electrical construction safety experience
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and electrical safety standards
  • Experience conducting field inspections and correcting unsafe conditions
  • Ability to work approximately 50 hours per week on first shift
  • Strong communication, documentation, and field-leadership skills
  • Reliable transportation to and from the project site

Responsibilities

  • Enforce site-specific safety policies, OSHA standards, and general contractor requirements
  • Monitor electrical construction activities for compliance with established safety procedures
  • Verify proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout, LOTO, procedures
  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
  • Identify electrical hazards, unsafe work practices, and noncompliant conditions
  • Coordinate corrective actions with field supervision and project leadership
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee orientations
  • Monitor PPE usage and electrical safe-work practices
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses and pre-task plans
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety observations
  • Maintain inspection reports, safety logs, and required project documentation
  • Promote a positive and accountable safety culture across the project
