About The Position

Arista Networks is seeking Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to join its FedRAMP CloudVision-as-a-Service (CVaaS) SRE team. SREs at Arista are expected to possess a strong software engineering background, systems architecture knowledge, and a passion for operating production systems at scale. The role involves responsibility for the global CloudVision service fleet, ensuring scalability, reliability, and stability. Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience managing FedRAMP SaaS environments or other highly regulated systems
  • Proven experience developing or managing deployments of distributed database systems or large-scale SaaS applications
  • Proficiency in Python, Go (Golang), or other programming languages
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash or other scripting languages

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)

Responsibilities

  • Drive, develop, and lead projects with a FedRAMP perspective in areas such as Data Platform (NetDL) Architecture and Performance, Capacity Planning, Autoscaling, Disaster Recovery, Observability, Change Management - CI/CD, Service Network Architecture, Cost Optimizations, and Infrastructure and Cloud-First Application Security.
  • Participate in FedRAMP on-call rotation split between West and East coast timezones.
  • Develop, operate, and work with various databases, both directly on Kubernetes or leveraging managed DB products.
  • Integrate with various Open Source Software (OSS) projects that power the microservices stack, monitoring infrastructure, and more.
