About The Position

The Site Reliability Engineer will support the Linux Platform team, which maintains reliable, secure, and observable Linux environments across physical, virtual, and containerized infrastructure. The role focuses on operating Linux services and infrastructure, resolving incidents, managing Kubernetes and image-build workflows, and improving operations through automation and observability. The engineer will also review AI agents supporting the operations queue and participate in the on-call rotation for Linux services.

  • Deep expertise in enterprise Linux, including RHEL administration at fleet scale.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies, including deployments, Helm, and OCI image builds.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise server hardware, including HPE and Dell platforms, iLO or iDRAC, and hardware-log analysis.
  • Strong incident-management discipline in an ITSM environment, including ServiceNow.
  • Experience with configuration management and CI/CD tools such as Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in Bash and/or Python.
  • Broad knowledge of networking, DNS, NTP/PTP, and storage infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of LLMs and AI agents, including prompt and tool design, Model Context Protocol, agent evaluation, autonomous-system failure modes, and automation approval boundaries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Troubleshoot physical server hardware, including HPE and Dell systems, using out-of-band management tools and hardware logs to diagnose component faults.
  • Operate Kubernetes clusters supporting internal platform services, including deployments, Helm, image builds, and capacity management.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for operating system and container image builds, configuration deployment, and promotion workflows.
  • Administer RHEL servers at fleet scale, including builds, patching, lifecycle management, and configuration management through immutable image pipelines, Chef, and Ansible.
  • Manage Linux authentication and entitlements across Active Directory, Kerberos, and OAuth environments.
  • Use Prometheus, OpenSearch, and related observability tools to identify and address issues before they affect users.
  • Review and guide AI agents supporting the operations queue; extend agent workflows and integrations in Go and Python.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation supporting Linux services.
