About The Position

The Apple Services Engineering Apple Data Platform SRE team operates and supports a large, multi-cloud platform used by thousands of internal engineers building data and AI products. The role works across infrastructure, automation, incident response, and customer support, helping internal teams use platform services reliably at scale. The engineer will operate the team's portfolio, including ML/AI platform services and multi-cloud infrastructure, while developing expertise in big data engines and catalog and governance services. These include Spark, Flink, Airflow, Trino, Notebooks, REST Catalog services such as Glue Catalog, and data governance. The role is also a first point of contact for internal customers, diagnosing issues and resolving support requests. The successful candidate will own services, drive their reliability roadmap, and align that work with the team's broader direction.
