About The Position

This role focuses on establishing and maintaining Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices within an Agile Scrum framework. The engineer will collaborate with team members and cross-departmental partners, participate in system design reviews to identify potential failures and promote automation, and engage in code reviews to ensure efficiency, testability, and scalability. A key aspect of the role involves participating in incident management to analyze root causes, mitigate future occurrences, and reduce downtime. The position also requires creating and maintaining relevant system and process documentation.

Requirements

BA/BS Degree. In lieu of degree, Four (4) years additional experience will be needed.
Minimum Four (4) years of experience in IT administration, software engineering, or platform engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.
One(1)+ years of experience deploying and managing enterprise cloud technologies, with a focus on AWS or Azure.
Experience using CI/CD and IaC tools, such as Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, GitLab, Artifactory, and Packer.
Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation technologies, with a preference for Python.
High proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, including networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify solutions to complex problems and think logically through challenging situations.
Proficiency working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.
Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based systems, with knowledge of monitoring, logging, security, and scalability.
Possess Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and a high level of integrity and accountability.
Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, Packer, Artifactory, Ansible, and Terraform.
Proficient with CI/CD tools and GitLab.
Proficient with Source Control best practices.
Proficient with scripting languages, Bash, PowerShell, Python.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be considered.
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
