Site Monitor (SYEP)
About The Position
The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is seeking a full-time seasonal Site Monitor for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) at Fort Hamilton High School. This role involves assisting with participant recruitment and enrollment, serving as a liaison between various stakeholders, maintaining participant records, facilitating training sessions, developing new worksites, and conducting site visits to ensure participant safety and collect necessary documentation. The Site Monitor will also support program inquiries, job placement, audits, and attend required meetings and trainings, adhering to all DYCD policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school student; college student preferred
- Prior experience working with High School youth
- Familiarity with virtual platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of teen and immigrant issues helpful
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and/or Spanish a plus

- College student preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment and enrollment of selected participants
- Act as a liaison between worksites, community members, school, and agency
- Maintain participant folders, timesheets, enrollment documents, and any DYCD SYEP-related documentation
- Assist with facilitating work readiness training, workshops, and program orientation
- Develop and outreach to new worksites and partnerships
- Visit worksites to ensure community members safety, assessments, collect timesheets, and participants’ payroll
- Support with program-related inquiries, job placement, site monitoring, and assist with audits and site visits
- Attend meetings and profession development trainings required by CPC and funding agency
- Comply with all DYCD policies and procedures
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Program Director
