About The Position

Luck Stone is hiring a Site Mobile Equipment Mechanic to help keep heavy equipment operating safely and effectively. The role focuses primarily on preventive maintenance for mobile equipment used in extraction, crushing, and conveying operations. The mechanic also troubleshoots and repairs equipment systems, conducts safety and performance inspections, and maintains maintenance records and parts inventory. The work takes place outdoors at an active MSHA-regulated site, in varying weather and around noise, dust, and moving equipment. The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment.
• Fundamental skills in the operation, testing, and adjustment of hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Ability to manage equipment maintenance and repairs, maintain inventory, and use computer systems for recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mobile equipment according to standard operating procedures, including SOP services and replacement of wear items such as ground engagement tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform reactive maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, engine, transmission, differential, final drive, and brake systems.
• Manage equipment records, maintenance logs, and parts inventory using computer systems.
• Conduct inspections and adjustments to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout every shift.
