Site Merchandiser

Cotton CitizenWest Rancho Dominguez, CA
Onsite

About The Position

As the Site Merchandiser, you will own the end-to-end visual presentation and product discovery experience on CottonCitizen.com. You will sit at the intersection of Marketing, Digital, and Production, ensuring that our premium essentials and seasonal washes are presented in a way that maximizes conversion and reinforces our brand aesthetic. You will be responsible for "the floor set" of the digital store, using data to decide what goes on the homepage, how collections are sorted, and how we leverage cross-selling to increase Average Order Value (AOV).

Requirements

  • 2+ years in E-commerce merchandising, preferably in premium fashion or streetwear.
  • Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus and third-party apps (e.g., Searchspring, Nosto, or Loop Returns).
  • Proficient in Google Analytics (GA4). You should be comfortable building explorations to see how specific styles are performing.
  • An obsessive attention to detail regarding how colors, washes, and fits are displayed visually.
  • Ability to pivot quickly—whether it's fixing a site bug during a launch or re-merchandising a collection based on a viral social media moment.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: You are a 'forever student' of e-commerce.
  • Kindness is Non-Negotiable: You lead with empathy and respect. We are a fast-moving team, and we believe that staying kind under pressure is a superpower.
  • Lack of Ego: You are mission-driven, not credit-driven. You possess the humility to take feedback from other teams and self-awareness to admit when a strategy isn't working so we can find a better one together.
  • Collaborative Diplomacy: You understand that reporting to Digital while supporting Marketing requires a high degree of emotional intelligence. You are a bridge-builder who thrives on cross-functional success.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sorting logic for all collection pages (Men's, Women's, New Arrivals, etc.). Balance "best sellers" with "newness" to keep the site feeling fresh for returning customers.
  • Partner with the creative team to ensure product imagery, color swatches, and video content align with the brand's luxury positioning.
  • Optimize site search results and navigation filters (Size, Color, Fit, Wash) to reduce friction in the customer journey.
  • Manage the end-to-end setup of new arrivals, ensuring products are activated on time with accurate descriptions, attributes, and tags.
  • Review the site daily to catch "broken" experiences (like the 404 links or "Ghost" variants) and ensure a seamless checkout flow.
  • Monitor Google Analytics (GA4) to track "Item Add-to-Cart Rates" and "View-to-Purchase" efficiency by style.
  • Work with the digital team to test homepage layouts, PDP features, and "Shop the Look" modules.
  • Monitor sell-through and strategically move low-inventory items down the page and promote high-stock "Hidden Gems" to maximize revenue.
  • Ensure the site experience mirrors our email sends and Meta Ad campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the CX team (Loop Returns) to identify high-return styles and update site copy or size guides to better manage customer expectations.
